Deploying a Magic xpi Project (Magic xpi 4.5)
When deploying your Magic xpi project, runtime management can be built in two major layers:
-
Technical monitoring – Gives an administrator full view of the runtime environment, including error messages. You should consider adding user-defined messages at each relevant point to ensure that you can track the project’s flow from the monitoring screen. Use the Attach file ability to include any data file that is involved at any step, so that at a point of failure, the developer can have all the relevant information on both the point of failure and the corrupted data file.
-
Business monitoring – Defining BAM messages at any business step will enable you full tracking of your process phase. If you are managing a process that is spread over a number of locations, or a number of applications, you can use the category option to make sure that messages are presented by the right context.

You can use a graphical reporting tool in conjunction with the Monitor database table, to enable richer monitoring capabilities.
