Configuring for a Multiple-User Environment (Magic xpa 3.x)

You can set up multiple configurations for the Magic xpa for IBM i Server. Different applications might need to use different server configurations.

Setting up multiple configurations for the Magic xpa for IBM i Server lets multiple users access different values from the:

• IBM i current library

• Magic xpa root directory, including the location of the Magic400.ini file

• Magic400.ini files

• ANSI File Code Page

• EBCDIC File Code Page

• Other configuration files

You can create multiple user configurations by:

• Creating different Magic400.ini files for each user configuration.

• Using the MGENV400 and MGAPPENV environment settings to create different configuration files.
